MAKER BEE CONSULTING IS CLOSING AT THE END OF 2024

My other project, Newsberg, is picking up steam and I’m absolutely thrilled about it. For those who don’t know, I started my career at 15 years old writing for the Hickory Daily Record in Hickory, North Carolina. That eventually led me to the University of Oregon, where I studied journalism. I was writing for a few publications and freelancing when all the papers started closing or consolidating. That’s when I stepped out to start learning the world of sales and marketing.

When I moved to Newberg, I saw an opportunity to provide a service to the community with a central events calendar, uncovered stories, and a digital community meeting place. I started Newsberg in April 2023 and it’s only been growing up and to the right ever since.

To my former clients, thank you so much for your months or years of business. I am only able to do what I am now thanks to your trust and commitment to this small-business marketing agency. Now I’m taking all of those lessons and helping my local community in a time where local news is more important than ever.
